Why spend so much on a flashy display that’ll be tossed away in a day or two?
Flower stands are fleeting,
but aren’t all experiences?
The seiyuu put in everything they have,
practicing for weeks, months,
all for a performance lasting at most a couple of hours.
There’s something magical about dedicating time/effort/money all for a single chance at making someone happier.
Finding joy in bringing joy to others—
for me, there’s nothing more fulfilling than this.
A smile is the greatest reward of all.
A flower stand is a physical manifestation of its contributors’ love and appreciation.
And a frighteningly expensive one too!
But I believe the significance of a flower stand has little to do with flowers and everything to do with its contributors, details, and mere existence.
Simply seeing a flower stand says “someone loves me”.
But I’m greedy.
I want to have so many names that they feel like they have all the support in the world.
I want countless details that they’ll never notice, all in the off-chance that even one of them makes them even a bit happier.
Of course, there are cheaper ways to bring joy to people—gifts, letters, or even comments on social media.
And if you wish to support them in these ways instead, I think that’s just as wonderful!
With infinite ways to make others happy, just finding them is a joy in itself.
