Hello, everyone!

Thank you for the birthday live stream yesterday💓

I was really happy that there were way, waaaay more people watching and commenting than I had anticipated.

And for some good news,
Misawa Sachika’s official Twitter account has been opened!

@misawa_official
Please be sure to follow me here!!!

And to commemorate my 10th anniversary as a seiyuu, we’ve decided to do a bus tour!

I’m so sorry that I was unable to touch on many of the comments and tweets during the broadcast😭

There’s too much that I want to talk about!

I’m happy that, no matter how old I get, my birthday is still celebrated💓

I received surprise comments from
Komagata Yuri-san
Hashi Afumi-san
Sakuragawa Megu-san
Uesaka Sumire-san
Tsuda Minami-san
in the message [corner]☺️💓

And, in the last five minutes of the broadcast, my Legal Wife・Uesaka Sumire-san[2] made an unexpected appearance!!!!!

She is the genius behind the phrase “Omae mo Yamanashi Okuri da!” [3]

Grapes! Hōtō! Anti-Oppression! [4]

Please continue supporting me from now on💓

Footnotes
1. ^ The title is a direct response to Uesaka Sumire’s blog post about the stream,
“三澤さんバースデーサプライズ(はぁと)” => “Misawa-san Birthday Surprise (Heart)”
2. ^ She might be mimicking and one-upping the “Sworn Friend・Misawa Sachika” from Sumipe’s blog post.
3. ^ “Taking You to Yamanashi Too”, the name of her upcoming bus tour
4. ^ On the birthday stream they created this Yamanashi-themed rendition of Sumipe’s slogan,
“生産! 団結! 反抑圧!” => “Production! Unity! Anti-Oppression”

Thank you to Haruki Takanashi and Forreva for corrections!

[2018.12.31] Tsumugi Risa ~ New Year’s Tweet

Original Tweet

Since it’s the end of the year I, Tsumugi, composed this seriously.
If you would be so kind, next year as well… #TsumuTsumuTsubuTsubu

2018 was the most profound year of my life. I was able to make anime appearances like I had dreamed of since middle school and, regardless of whether a character has a name or not, the fact that I breathed life into him or her brings me unending joy. I’m deeply touched that, through my voice, these characters are moving— living! Whenever my name runs in the ending credits, I go “Ohhhhhhhhh!!!” and take a stream of photos. My days were filled unending gratitude for all of this. Embarrassing. On a personal note, something that touched my heart was bumping into an anime director, who served as a lecturer and took care of me when I was in high school, at the studio and auditions.

And then it was announced that I would become a new member of “RAISE A SUILEN” as a DJ. As someone who originally watched Bandori on screen and thought, “The seiyuu are playing their instruments and performing live, such a diverse skill-set…!”, I never expected that I would one day end up on the other side of that screen. That I can participate in Bandori, which started from Aimi and continued with PoPiPa, is nothing but an honor. That’s why from now on, even more than before, as both a DJ and as CHU²’s seiyuu, I’m going to raise up my arms and do my best to hype up Bandori!! I want to improve my skills!!!!!

And finally, about the members of RAS! At first, we were a mismatched group of members each with their own amount of experience and different fields of specialization. However, within all that time that we spent together I steadily found things to love about the members and now I truly love them so much that it’s unbearable! When I meet up with the members, how should I put this… It’s sort of a “that sense of relief when you go back home?” kind of thing, and I feel so at ease 😂✨I have something to respect about all of them, and realize that I am blessed. In particular, the day when the members came to my house and threw a party was fun and happy and my love was moved 😭
[Note: Her wording resembles “my heart was moved”, but she said “love” instead.]

2018 was tightly packed with different things! If my past self from just a little while ago saw my present self, I wonder what kind of face she would make (lol) “I’m absolutely glad that I didn’t give up,” is how I’ll sum it all up.
While cherishing my feelings of happiness and gratitude, I’ll proceed with determination next year so that I may come across many more character roles and also, as part of RAS, be able to meet many people and show them who we are! And I’m going to work harder right now! It is thanks to all the people supporting me that I can feel, “I can do my best!” When things go poorly, or when I’m frustrated, or when I can’t stop self-reflecting, I always pull out everyone’s letters from a box, read them, and receive strength! Thank you so much. My best regards for next year as well ⛩✨

Many thanks to Forreva and Ghostavich for quality checking!

[2018.12.31] Natsume ~ New Year’s Tweet

Original Tweet

This year held the debut of RAS, my first try at being a seiyuu, holding a large concert with my own band, and many more of my dreams that came true✨
I’m moved by the letters and “Natsume-oshi” [Natsume supporter] comments that I received, and they give me the energy to push on✨ Thank you very much!!!

Everyone-!! Have a great new year〜✨✨💕

#Bandori #RAS #shazna

It’s been one year since I performed at the countdown event in Nagasaki Huis Ten Bosch as part of SHAZNA and, together with them, crossed into the new year.
This year truly became the Year of the Band.
THE THIRD(仮)→RAISE A SUILEN. And SHAZNA.
When I first began playing the drums, I had a vague dream of “debuting in a girls band and becoming famous” and started performing activities as a band, but things didn’t go well and we broke up. After that, I decided that “I won’t play in a band until I find a band and members that I can truly get along with” and have since been performing solo drum activites as a session musician for lives/studio recordings/etc., but now I hold positions in two main bands!!!

There were unreasonably hard times as well, but this year I was able to fulfill my dream to “debut with a girls band” with RAISE A SUILEN.
Furthermore, I’ve been given the chance at being seiyuu, an aspiration I did not believe could come true.
When my band broke up, I was troubled over whether I should give up on the drums or not, but I’m truly glad that I took the leap and continued my solo drum activities!!
Next year, RAISE A SUILEN will have its 2nd single released and hold a live at Nippon Budōkan. SHAZNA has an album release scheduled.
I’m busy starting from January!!!
I’m going to give it my all in 2019 while remaining grateful for where I stand and all the people supporting me and cheering me on!!!

Many thanks to Forreva for quality checking and Chezz for TL advice!

Hello, Happy World!

2019 is shaping up to be a Bandori-filled year!

What started as a bit of curiosity about the Bandori franchise quickly grew into fascination. A few months later, I wrote an Overview of Bandori Seiyuu and an Overview of Bandori’s Other Media. The former requires significant updates due to lack of time and reddit’s character limits thwarting me at every step, but more on that later! The latter has, for the most part, been incorporated into the Bandori Seiyuu Content Masterlist. Oh, and at some point I wrote a guide for Attending Bandori Lives/Events.

The Bandori Masterlist began when Forreva and Nine realized that we were all working towards very similar goals and could pool this work together. Hours upon hours upon hours of joint research and typing later, we finally brought the Masterlist to the public! Over the months, Forreva has done an incredible job of bringing all the Bandori subbers together with everyone connected by this spreadsheet! In time, we also found a home in the #translations channel in the Bandori Franchise Discord. All the meanwhile, I’ve also been maintaining archives for Bandori radio and video shows so that none of them can be lost to time.

I’ve slowly begun venturing into (low quality) translations of seiyuu social media posts, covering Rimi1, Kohara Riko’s 20k followers Q&A, RAS CharaExpo tweets, and the RAS House Party tweets. It’s also become a daily routine to translate RAS tweets on my Twitter account. While my Japanese is far from adequate for the task, I’m striving to hone it as quickly as possible so that I can better understand and relay as much of this wonderful content as possible. This blog is the next step in that journey. My hope is eventually catalogue and refine my past work here, while continuing to translate more and more content.

In time, this blog will hopefully contain:

  • Updated Bandori Seiyuu Overview
  • Updated RAISE A SUILEN Overview
  • Blog translations for Misawa Sachika, Kurachi Reo, Otsuka Sae
  • Translations for more lengthy/impactful seiyuu tweets
  • An archive of past work with higher quality translations

This will be a long-term process, as I actually have my hands quite full co-organizing two other Bandori seiyuu projects! My goal in all of this is the same. I want more people to discover the joys of seiyuu content, and I want the people who already enjoy seiyuu content to enjoy it even more!

Fandori Project

Co-organized with Toni! ^^
Fandori! The goal of this project is to give back to the seiyuu. They make our lives brighter every day, and we’d like to try our very best to return this favor even the slightest bit! If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please join our Discord server!

This year, we are going to compose, perform, and record one original song each for Poppin’Party, Roselia, RAISE A SUILEN, and Argonavis. We are also making illustrated message booklets for all of the seiyuu in these bands, for a total of 20 booklets!

Please, please, please take some time to send us letters for the seiyuu!
We want to include at least a few dozen letters for every seiyuu, even if they are just short sentences! We need your help. ^^

If you are also interested in participating as a musician or illustrator, there is still time! Selections have just begun, so head on over to our Helper Application Form and read this blog post to catch up!

Bandori Seiyuu

Co-organized with eter and Forreva, with support from all of the incredible Bandori fansubbers. Thank you!

While the Bandori Masterlist serves as very thorough and definitive resource for Bandori seiyuu content, it is somewhat difficult to find and not very practical for finding the latest subbed content! The #translations channel in the Franchise Discord has been serving this purpose, but one key point is that the people who frequent this channel are already in the loop. Our goal is to expand the Bandori seiyuu fandom!

As such, we’ve decided to create a new Twitter account that will be posting all the latest subbed/translated Bandori content as it comes out!
We look forward to your support. ^^

P.S. The account was live, but at the time of this post it is currently locked because Twitter lied to me and said you could put any birthday (even the birthday of your cat!). It turns out that they have enough logic to check for accounts that are under the age of 13, but not enough logic to figure that an account whose birthday is January 1, 2019 may not actually be tweeting from a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I am aiming to resolve this as quickly as possible!
